Exposure & placement

The Spathiphyllum Bellini is one of the few indoor plants that perfectly tolerates low-light spaces. It can even bloom in the shade, making it an ideal plant for dark rooms.

• Exposure: partial shade to low light, tolerates deep shade.
• Ideal: living room, bedroom, office, bathroom, entrance, even in low-light rooms.
• Temperature: 18 to 27 °C, without sudden changes.
• Substrate: light, airy, and well-drained (green plant potting soil + perlite).

Verdeia tip: the Spathiphyllum signals when it is thirsty — its leaves droop slightly, then quickly straighten after watering.

Watering & care

• Watering: moderate; let the top 2-3 cm of the substrate dry out between waterings.
• Frequency: about 1-2 times per week in spring-summer, reduce in winter.
• Drainage: essential — use a pot with holes and a saucer.
• Humidity: prefers 50-60% humidity, regularly mist the leaves.
• Fertilizer: every 2-3 weeks in spring-summer with a diluted liquid fertilizer to encourage flowering.
• Winter rest: reduce watering and fertilizing in autumn-winter.
• Pruning: remove faded flowers and dead or yellowed leaves at the base.
• Cleaning: gently wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to preserve their shiny glow.

Observe the leaves: if they fall, the plant is thirsty; if they yellow, you are watering too much.
