Clusia hydroponic in glass globe – Natural elegance & urban design 🌿
🌱 Hydroponic culture • 🏺 Glass globe with cork stopper • ✨ Natural design • 💧 Visible roots • 🏙️ Ideal for urban interiors
The Clusia hydroponic in glass globe with cork stopper is a refined tropical plant that combines nature and design. Its rounded glass container highlights its visible roots, while the cork stopper adds a handcrafted and warm touch. Perfect for modern city interiors, it combines elegance and ease of care.
Its thick and shiny leaves recall the lushness of the tropics. Nicknamed “autographed plant”, the Clusia can keep the trace of a word or drawing delicately inscribed on its foliage.
Verdeia Tip: place it on a console, a shelf, or a light wood windowsill to create a natural and contemporary contrast.
Exposure & location
The hydroponic Clusia likes soft light and stable environments. It thrives in bright interiors while tolerating partial shade, making it ideal for many urban spaces.
- Light: bright indirect or soft partial shade, no direct sunlight.
- Ideal rooms: living room, office, entrance, bright bathroom.
- Location: near a bright window or on a light surface to showcase the glass and roots.
Verdeia Tip: avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to preserve the color and shine of the foliage.
Watering & care
In hydroponic culture, the Clusia does not require soil and feeds exclusively on the water in which its roots are immersed. Care is limited to keeping this water clean and renewed.
- Check: top up the water level every 10 to 15 days.
- Renewal: change the water every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain the vase’s clarity.
- Fertilizer: add a little diluted hydroponic fertilizer every 2 months.
- Glass: regularly clean the inside to avoid lime deposits.
Verdeia Advice: prefer soft or filtered water to limit lime and preserve the vase’s transparency.
Verdeia Tips
For a Clusia in perfect health and a lasting decorative effect, adopt these good care habits:
- Temperature: keep the plant between 18 and 26 °C, away from sudden changes.
- Foliage: dust the leaves with a soft, slightly damp cloth to promote breathing.
- Environment: avoid direct heat sources (radiators, strong lamps) and cold drafts.
- Water: completely renew it if it becomes cloudy or shows deposits.
- Observation: if leaves yellow, move the plant to brighter light and change the water entirely.
These simple care steps ensure the beauty of the Clusia and the clarity of the glass, for a fresh and harmonious effect in your urban jungle.
Decor ideas & combinations
- Wall shelf: visible roots become a true focal point.
- Centerpiece: a decorative object both sleek and lively.
- Office: easy to care for, it brings a natural and calming touch.
- Gift: an original idea to offer a decorative and modern plant.
- Combination: pair it with a hydroponic Philodendron or a Monstera Monkey Mask for a stylish plant ambiance.
